Yes, that would help drastically, but that would be a complete overhaul of the system and take substantial time and resources to occur. There are other actions we can take in the meantime which I mentioned, such as price shopping, employers switching to self insured, getting multiple opinions, price and cost transparency for insurers, brokers, PBMs, and providers.
