This is very interesting. I have never considered the specificity of fiber relavtive to region and ancestry. What are your thoughts regarding the US and generations of poor fiber diversity and volume? The traditional western diet ranges from 12-17 grams of fiber per day, a far cry from what we need. If someone in the US without a fiber history wants to increase their diversity, does adopting a regional diet matter?
