That is true. My intent is not to say long sitting duration or inactivity have no negative health outcomes. They clearly do. Sitting is no where near as harmful as smoking, however. Also, the dose of sitting has to be very high and paired with little exercise. If you exercise, you can negate the effects of sitting long durations. You cannot have that type of effect if you regularly smoke. Smoking is far more harmful than sitting and they should not be compared.
