Thank you for the feedback. Those are fair points and I can see how the message is mixed.

While someone could strictly focus on grip strength, it shouldn't impact an assessment. Grip strength provides a quick screen of overall health but no test is ever used in isolation. I will often pair grip strength with quad strength using sit to stand assessments (like the COVID hospitallization study did). I have never seen a case where someone is deconditioned but still has adequate grip strength.
