Thank you for your response and feedback on TRT and exercise. I agree with your assessment and I stated such in the article:
"First, this study does not suggest improving handgrip strength will improve mortality rates. That’s not to say building grip strength won’t be valuable for other tasks (more on that shortly), but the link with mortality differs.
Handgrip strength is an indicator of overall health."
Improving grip strength can improve carrying and lifting tasks but it is more beneficial as a health marker.
An umbrella review is a review of systematic reviews. A meta-analysis pools data from multiple RCTs to run a new set of data-analysis. Systematic reviews are qualitative assessments and meta-analyses are quantitative assessments.
