I'm in the US and I can use my extended illness bank toward paternity leave. While the 20 days isn't much, I am able to spread it out over a year. Adding that to my PTO allowed me to be flexible and be home for my family. Paternity leave is so important and I'm grateful I had the opportunity to be home with my child and support my wife the first three weeks after our daughter was born.
