I think it comes down to the intent of your microwave. If the microwave fuels unhealthy eating habits, eliminating it might help.

For me, I typically use it to heat coffee or leftovers in a glass container if I don’t feel like cleaning more dishes.

I prefer the taste and texture of food cooked in the oven or on the stove, but sometimes convenience prevails.

I don’t think you have to eliminate the microwave, just adjust your relationship with it.
